Letter to Parent/ Guardian re Re-opening of Crehana N.S.

Dear Parent / Guardian,

The BoM and School Staff are looking forward to welcoming all our pupils and parents / guardians back to school for the 2020/2021 school year on Tuesday 1st of September.

We are satisfied that we have control measures in place to ensure that this will be a safe re-opening.  It will take some time for all of us to get used to the “new circumstances” as we become familiar with the new routines and procedures designed to keep everyone safe and to prevent the spread of the virus.  There will, undoubtedly, be some unforeseen challenges and we will deal with these as they arise.

These are two simple procedures we would like to introduce

.Can you please apply suncream to your child if it’s a sunny day as we propose to have an outside class each day and we request that each child has an individual pack of tissues to use in school.

. All individual paperwork that needs to be returned to school along with annual class money due. This must be placed in an envelope with your child’s name on the front and a clear breakdown of various contributions. Each child will give this to their class teacher and will be processed by our school secretary.

We would like to thank you for your co-operation in making preparations to date and look forward to working with you as we assist the children adapt to the necessary changes. The management and staff in our school make every decision governed by the following principles

  1. Reopening our school creating a controlled safe environment for children and staff.
  2. Keeping our school open by protecting this controlled environment.

We are really relying on each adults integrity and co- operation with our response plan to achieve these goals. We will be taking things slowly as we reopen and guidance and procedures will change. Communication will continue through our website and our school communication system Aladdin.

We are  conscious of the fact that our pupils have not been in school since March and that they are looking forward to coming back to school to meet their friends again.  We are aware that our new pupils are beginning a school year at a challenging time and have made plans to ensure that their arrival will be as free from stress as possible.
