6th Class Graduation June 2021

Dear 6th Class,

While the Confirmation has been postponed for now and a traditional graduation cannot go ahead, I hope the following will bring a smile to your faces. Below is a poem I was going to read on Tuesday and a little slideshow of photos of your time in Crehana.

Wishing you all the best for the future,

Mrs. Cunningham

For 6th Class, 2021

Well here we are. You made it!
And what a year it has been!
With rules, restrictions, pods and bubbles,
And more sanitiser than you’ve ever seen!
We’ve had ups and downs, and downs and ups,
And ups and downs, and then
Side to sides and roundabouts,
And downs and ups again!
And while it’s been a challenge
Navigating these highs and lows;
In one way it has prepared you
‘Cause that’s exactly how life goes.
It’s rarely all smooth sailing
And it’s important that you know
When things get tough, just pause – reset –
And have another go.
Because kids, “you will move mountains!”
And I’m so excited to see
Just where your life will take you.
You can be anything you want to be!
As I look out at your faces
I see potential everywhere.
I see sports stars, authors, architects…
And the list doesn’t end there!
Interior designers, doctors, actors,
Computer programmers, to name a few.
Engineers, teachers, mechanics
And the odd farmer or two!
But first, it’s off to secondary school!
Crehana has given you all it can give.
And so from me I say, ó chroí,
Slán, agus go n-éirí libh.
